I write and record music under a number of different aliases. I have what is most representative of my favorite genre and style of music under the "Meridian" alias, but unfortunately that artist name is incredibly common, and with a number of much more popular artists using it, the collisions make discovery almost impossible. As a result, I’ve started making music under the alias “Wile.” It’s also intended as a slightly higher-energy version of music that I like, with more percussion, structure, and beat focus.
Ambient and drone music is also incredibly important to me, and my “Strahlen” project is my homage to the genre.
Lastly, “Auger” was meant to be a playground to try more experimental approaches, where I intended to not tell anyone about it to preserve the freedom to play. But I have evidently changed my mind.
Ultimately, I create this music for myself. I do so out of necessity to be expressive, release artistic energy, and enter flow as meditation, but it also brings me great joy when listeners have shared both if and when it brings them something similar. I hope you enjoy.

This is the first music video I made for my Wile project. It was a little rushed in order to make the deadline for a yearly "art party" that I participate in with friends, but still came together in the end. The video content was largely created with Midjourney text-to-image/video, and then edited all together in Final Cut Pro.

Meridian - 2023-03-05
Another plugin competition requiring creating an original soundtrack and competition for an existing video. This time, the challenge was to use the new Rhodes piano VST (their first digital emulator) to compose a commercial / hype music video.
Meridian - 2019-08-25
After a long hiatus of making music during grad school, this competition to compose a soundtrack over a minute of natural video content is really what catalyzed my return to recording, and focusing on the Meridian alias. The experience helped me learn that I love composing music to existing video, as well creating video content for my songs.
